Join the 2010 Summer Staff

Thank you for your interest in working at Camp Pendola this summer. Camp Pendola is all about relationships. Campers build relationships with other campers, staff members, the environment and God. If you have the skills to guide these young people as they build these relationships; if you have the skills to mentor them and be a positive role model; then please complete the required forms and return them to the Camp Pendola Office.

Please complete the application entirely. Make sure you download and print three (3) reference forms. The reference forms are for you to give to three people, other than relatives, who can verify your skills. Include individuals such as teachers, employers and special skills people, i.e. backpacking, arts and crafts, archery. Ask them to return the forms immediately. Applications are not processed until at least two of the reference forms are returned. Be sure to sign the waiver.

The summer season is June 13 – August 11, 2010. All staff will be off July 4-6. We will be finishing overnight camp on August 7 and staff banquet will be August 10. We will be paying a weekly base salary of $272.00. Additional pay is based on previous Pendola summer experience and special certifications or licenses. All staff are required to complete Lifeguard Training, or be currently certified, prior to the beginning of pre-camp training. Lifeguard Training will take place June 7-11. A complete schedule of training opportunities will be available by May 1, 2010.

Please read the job descriptions for this summer so you know what you are applying for. Most staff will be counselors for at least half of the time. We will be hiring about 22 staff for the summer. When you are not working as a counselor, you will be working in one of the other positions. Please select your top two choices.
