What is a typical week at Pendola like, you might ask?

So, if you've never been to Camp before, here is an example of what a week at Camp might look like for you. All of the activities you see here might be slightly rearranged according to cabin assignments. Don't worry! Every cabin  will get to do the following activities during their stay at Camp.  Each week offers different activities that take place in the afternoon during Festival Scheduling. Some afternoon activities are based on the theme of the week.  Festival Scheduling gives you the chance to do your favorite activity several times, or to try something new you’ve never heard of.

If you have joined us at Camp Pendola before, just take a look through all of  the great things you were able to do and remember the great times we had. Are  you going to come back this next summer? We sure hope you do!

SUNDAY
This is the day Campers Arrive! They travel with their family by car  or ride up on the bus and have time to Meet Cabin Mates and make sure you tell your counselor some of the things you want to do while at Camp Pendola. All campers check in with the our Health Center Supervisor before heading up to the cabins. Health Center Visit and heads to the pond for a simple Swim Time. When all cabins have finished settling in for the week ahead it's time to Celebrate Liturgy in the chapel. A little more free time to get to know cabin mates better and then it's time for Flag and Dinner. Then,  to wrap up the first day, each cabin will do a little Skit Planning to prepare for Sunday Campfire.

MONDAY
Monday morning is the  traditional Polar Bear Swim for those brave enough  to bear (no pun intended) the cold waters of the pond. Then Morning Prayer leads us into a delicious Breakfast. Cabin groups participate in activity  sessions together and this morning a cabin might do both Archery and Camp Crafts sessions before they have to Pack for Campout and Leave for Campout for the first of two this week!

TUESDAY
A good overnight sleep under the stars and a hiking Return to Camp makes you want to put down your backpack and have fun in Nature Activities for a while until Free Time. Then it's time for Kamp Kapers before Lunch. After all of that hiking, everyone is pretty  tired so B.O.B. Time lets you take a break. Now you're feeling ready for more fun. Afternoon activities allow for you to chose what you want to do.  It’s called Festival Scheduling, Maybe you’ll choose some Pond Time or maybe a special activity in Camp Crafts.! Follow that with Showers and some games during Chapel Time and you're ready for Flag and Dinner. Every night in camp has Evening Lawn Games followed by Optional Activities with the whole camp  participating. By then it's time for Lights Out and a good night sleep for another day of fun tomorrow.

WEDNESDAY
Is it already time to  wake up? After a good night of sleep, it is nice to begin the day with Morning Prayer. We'll gather on the main lawn for  prayer just before heading off for a great Breakfast in the dining hall. You've got to give  yourself some energy to strengthen your arms for Archery. What fun! Now, it's time to Pack for Campout again for the second of your  overnight campouts under the stars. It is always beautiful at Camp Pendola! Get  your hiking boots on and start singing a hiking song, because now it is time for your cabin group to Leave for Campout. Have a  great time!

THURSDAY
Who is that coming back into camp? Oh, it's your cabin as you Return to Camp. How was it? Did you eat marshmallows? Get your chores done quickly at Kamp Kapers so you can take your Showers and clean up for Lunch. All of that hiking can make a person a little  tired. B.O.B. Time gives you that chance to rest and relax. When you've got your energy back, you'll get to go try a new project  in Camp Crafts and learn some great new  things in Nature Activities. There is always  something fun to learn and do at Camp Pendola. How would you like to have some Pond Time this afternoon while it's hot ? Ahh, refreshing and cool water. Evening is coming, so we gather for Flag and make our way to Dinner. Then the cabins will meet on the lawn for fun Evening Lawn Games and then you can settle into  one of the Optional Activities for your evening  entertainment. Camp will come to a quiet close with Lights Out! until the next great day at camp.

FRIDAY
What a good night of sleep! A Morning Prayer and then another great Breakfast will get us started on the right foot today. Maybe a game of Ping-Pong or Frisbee during your cabin's Free Time and then some quieter games and activities  in Chapel Time will fill your morning. Now it's time for the day to get really exciting! At Lunch  today is when it all starts. What starts? Why, PARTY  DAY, of course! What could finish up our week better than a whole afternoon  of wild games for the whole camp? Who will you get wet with a water balloon? Well, when you finally get tired, it will be time for Flag, but that isn't the end of the day. Your cabin  will do some more Skit Planning to prepare for a  great Friday Campfire where we will laugh, sing,  and find out which cabin won the Cabin of the Week (C.O.W.) Award! Now, you can start getting tired. Whew, it's time to get ready for bed and Lights Out after the long day of fun. Be sure to be quiet when you are in your cabin. The Serenaders will be coming to sing you  to sleep with your favorite songs of the week. You get to pick what they are. Good night!

SATURDAY
The sun just keeps on  rising every morning and we continue to thank God in Morning Prayer. Today is the end of our week together and so after Breakfast we all take some time to Pack-up all of our things and say our goodbye's to  new friends and old. We'll see you here again next year, but for now it is time to Depart Camp Pendola! It was great having you  here at camp
