- Goals:
- to enhance the individual's self-esteem, skills and confidence in outdoor living skills
- to raise the individual's awareness of their responsibility to the community
- to develop the individual's awareness of God in themselves, their community and in nature
- to provide an experience of backpacking.

| Outline:
3 Night Backpacking Trip.
For your first backpacking trip, use the trails and sites near to Pendola Center. The security of staying close, but all the enjoyment of Tahoe National Forest. Ages 12 and entering at least the 7th grade. |

| |
|
|
|
- Sunday - Arrival and check-in. First Aid check-in will take place at check-in site. Swim check and pack for the trip.
- Monday – Review and practice skills as needed before heading out on the lake. Hike to Kelly Bar.
- Tuesday – Play on the river and hike to an Upper Kelly for the night.
- Wednesday – Break camp and hike to one of the Brandy sites. Play in the creek and relax.
- Thursday - Hike back to camp and get ready for COW and Party Day!!!
